Thank you for your interest in our training club. The puppy course is aimed at puppies from vaccination age to approximately 20 weeks. We accept puppies from 10 weeks old having had their first vaccination as we use an indoor venue, there is ample parking so you can carry your puppy into the hall if you have any concerns, Please check with your vet for advice. Puppies crucial learning and socialisation age is from 8 weeks old so we feel it is important that puppies have the opportunity to start their learning as soon as possible.

We train basic obedience and allow the puppies to develop social skills by inter-acting with each other in a controlled environment. The aim of the club is to encourage responsible dog ownership and enable you to have a happy, healthy, well socialized and well mannered dog.

The puppy courses are of six weeks duration. The training methods are kind, fair and effective and take place in a relaxed happy environment. As part of the training, you and your puppy will have the opportunity of working towards the Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Award. So please ask about the other classes that we offer at Chiverton Riding Centre on Monday evenings.

The course fee, which is payable in advance is £45.00 and includes club membership. If you wish to enrol please send a completed application by email (address below). We only accept payment by way of BACS transfer to the following account:

We will email you confirmation of your place along with a “Welcome Pack” including directions to the hall. We have a Puppy WhatsApp group which you can join whilst on the course, please let us know if you wish to join this group for the duration of the course.
